Real Life Residency Areas of Focus
Our residency focuses on what you need to know, now. We will not concern ourselves with what you might need to know later. There will be a time for that, later. Together, we will focus on these six areas:
1
Church Planting - What do you do right now? What's next? What needs to wait? How do you cast vision, create a core team, and develop elders? When do you launch services? What datas trigger next steps? Where does the money come from? The Real Life Residency partners with church planters throughout an extensive organic church planting process to launch churches committed to the Great Commission.
2
Spiritual Foundation - How do you relate to and worship King Jesus most intimately? Is your view of yourself the same as Christ's view of you? How do you know what He wants to do? How do you pray? These areas impact how deep, how wide, and how strong your abiding in King Jesus is.
3
Disciple Making Culture - Who is discipling you? How are you being changed by King Jesus? Who are you discipling? How is King Jesus using you to change someone else? Are they in turn discipling others? Are the environments you and your church are creating facilitating transformation? These answers are creating your church culture.
4
Church Alignment - What does every event, every ministry, every budget look like when everyone shares the same one objective, to make disciple makers? The clarity and focus this alignment creates will be liberating, empowering, and fulfilling for a church dedicated to the Great Commission.
5
Leadership - How do you lead... people, volunteers, leaders, staff, and most of all, yourself? How do you develop staff? What is your strategy to lead change? How do you lead through internal and external crisis? Leadership requires constant growth in the skill and the art of leadership.
6
Essential Doctrine - Have you written down what you definitively believe doctrinally? Have you thoughtfully considered challenging opinions? Have you 'defended' the foundations of your faith? The biblical foundation of a house will determine whether it survives the inevitable winds, rains, and floods.
